My life is full of homemaking projects, being a military wife, attempts to get organized, being a coupon "princess", making meals, doing loads and loads of laundry, being a special needs Mom, keeping memories and lots more. Welcome to my world, I am glad you stopped by!

Tackle it Tuesday
So I don't have a very exciting tackle today! But something that I really wanted to get done. :) Life is so busy over at my house that I start to feel overwhelmed. When I feel overwhelmed, I don't like to be in my house. So I go and do errands/buy things ( sometimes needed sometimes not)instead of taking care of it. So it gets worse. Until I get so frustrated that I crack and than I spend hours scrubbing everything. I don't like this cycle at all! It is so ineffective and leaves a bad feeling in our home. Today I decided to get a plan. I am a huge fan of Flylady. I have sort of fallen off the wagon. Today I sat down and made up a basic weekly plan, and a daily routine. It feels so good to get some control! If anyone has advice on sticking to a schedule...I would love to hear it!

I read over at the lButterfly Catcher about the I'm finish card she printed out and displayed on a frame by her kitchen so she can look at it all the time. It was a pretty good tip to try out! I will try it myself too. That was a great idea to keep on track! Check it out.
i like the fly lady too... my only advice is pick one thing and work on it for a month.. slowly add in the next... so you stick to one and not get overwhelmed!
My problem is that I try to tackle all of the cleaning in one day and it nevers gets done. So what I'm trying to do is break the house into sections and assign a section to a day of the week. For me, Tuesdays are about the upstairs--cleaning the boys rooms, the two bathrooms, the loft and the boy's laundry. Thursdays are about the downstairs, mainly the kitchen and the half bath, along with the dusting and the adult laundry. Obviously I spot clean all week and vacuum daily, but breaking it down gives me a sense of accomplishment and helps me to not feel so overwhelmed.
Good luck!
