My life is full of homemaking projects, being a military wife, attempts to get organized, being a coupon "princess", making meals, doing loads and loads of laundry, being a special needs Mom, keeping memories and lots more. Welcome to my world, I am glad you stopped by!

Changes
In all my life of blogging, I have tried to fit my blog into a little box.
Just a coupon blog.
Just a homemaking blog.
Just a challenge blog.
Just a family blog.
But it just isn't working for me right now. I keep thinking & wondering why, if I miss blogging so much...why don't I do it more often?
Yep, I am busy. But that is mostly in the evenings. Yep, I am tired. Yep, I have a lot on my plate.
No, I am not always exciting. No I am not the top Mommy blogger in the world.
But I want to get back to sharing a little more of my WORLD. Not just one or two parts. I have a lot of other things that I do. That I am interested in.
It amazes me that very frequently, I am asked for advice. Maybe because I have been married for almost 17 years (how is that even possible?!), or maybe because I have raised babies & toddlers and have now moved onto teenagers. Maybe it is because I have a child with special needs. Maybe it is because I am just cool like that.
Whatever it is, I am making some additions to my blogging life. More about family life, my continuing journey to becoming organized, more about the traditions that my family has, and I am also going to *gasp* add videos!! *gasp* keep talking about menus, my new obsession with the Dollar Tree & the .99 store, saving money and couponing, and all that homemaking stuff that I love.
2015 is going to be awesome!

Reinventing
Almost every day, I am asked for advice...
How do I coupon? How do I save money on produce? On meat? How can I cut my grocery bill? How can I get my spouse to support me? Where do I start?
So I changed the whole theme of my blog to money saving/coupons. I wanted to help. I still do. But can I tell you something?
There are TONS, of blogs & facebook pages that are devoted to coupons & money saving. Whenever I go to share a deal...there are 50 others who have already shared it.
I don't want to reinvent the wheel.
Saving money & coupons are important to me. But it isn't all that is important to me. I have 1001 other interests.
I am more than happy to help anyone get started & or continue with coupons. I just don't want to constantly focus on it.
I am going to go back to my roots. The reason I started this blog in the first place. To share my love of homemaking as a whole.
There is a lot more to homemaking then just keeping the budget. Unfortunatley, I am not very good at any of them. lol What is that saying, "jack of all trades, master of none?" something like that anyway.
Always talking about money, frankly gets a little boring (: So lets liven' things up a little, shall we?

changes
She turned 12 last summer.
I love coupons. I love having a grocery store in my garage. I love having lots of options for meals & snacks. I love being able to give away when someone is in need.
I would encourage everyone to coupon on at least some level. Since I have been in CA ( a little over a year now) I have been blessed with awesome stores that double coupons. I have been able to get many free and inexpensive items. So I started sharing them on Facebook.
Then I started having requests for teaching & sharing how to coupon. Thus I changed the name of this blog (from MarthaWannabe to California Clippin') and created a facebook page, to go along with it.
I have had fun sharing good deals, coupons and my trips. However...there are TONS of coupon blogs. TONS. And I feel it is kind of a waste of my time to repeat info that can be found in a ton of other places.
So while I am in no way saying that I will never post another coupon trip or good deal etc, I am saying that you won't see as many.
I want to go back to sharing recipes, planning menu's, freezer cooking, sharing crafts or decorations, money saving tips, family friendly ideas, kids ideas, trying to get organized and basically homemaker-y stuff. (:
